American Idol Season 22 Winner Revealed

This is your new American idol winner: Abi Carter.

During the season 22 finale of the ABC reality series on May 19, host Ryan Seacrest announced that Abi had beaten Will Mosley-as well as Jack Blockerwho was eliminated earlier in the evening, to win the coveted title.

The new winner was crowned after an audience of stars, including Jon Bon Joviwho also served as a guest mentor to the finalists.

The final also marked Katy Perrythe last episode of Idol judge alongside Lionel Richie And Luke Bryan.

“I mean, I like Idol so much,” Katy, who shares a 3-year-old daughter Marguerite Colombe with fiancé Orlando Bloomsaid on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in February. “It connected me to the heart of America, but I feel like I need to get out and feel that pulse, that pulse at my own pace.”

Despite his departure, the interpreter of “Firework” will still hold these seven seasons of Idol memories that are close to his heart.
