American Idol Judge Luke Bryan Shares Names of Pop Stars Who Have ‘Been in Talks’ to Replace Katy Perry

Katy Perry is gone American Idol after seven seasons, and Luke Bryan is sharing names who could potentially replace her.

In a new interview, the country star named the stars who have “been in talks” to judge the competition next season.

“I’ve mentioned a number of names. I think Pink has been in talks, Miley Cyrus has been in talks, Meghan Trainor has been in talks,” Bryan said. Billboard.

He continued: “It’s interesting. Disney has been very quiet on this with me, Lionel and Ryan. We haven’t heard yet who’s coming back, or if Lionel and I are coming back. I think Disney is just trying to figure out what they want to do and we’re just waiting for them to decide.”

As for the pop stars Bryan named as potential replacements on the judging panel, Trainor recently said in an interview on Watch what’s happening live that it would be his “dream job.”

“I emailed three great people who work in this industry and don’t really have the final say,” Trainor said. “I asked for this job… it’s my favorite show, I’ve been watching it since I was a kid.”

Pink recently said Entertainment Tonight that she enjoys her day job and added: “I don’t like to hurt people’s feelings.”
