Amazon’s new entry-level Kindle is essentially the budget 6-inch version of the Kindle Paperwhite. It’s not waterproof, but otherwise it’s similar, with the same sharp display and USB-C support. Read our review.

The six inch Entry-level Kindle The Kindle offers great value for money, which is why it’s my favorite budget e-reader on the market. It’s a significant improvement over its 2019 predecessor, with features like a crisp 300 ppi display and fast performance that’s hard to find on e-readers in this price range. In addition to good battery life, the Kindle also has a USB-C port for relatively fast charging and 16GB of storage so you can store as many e-books as you want.

Right now, you can buy the ad-supported Kindle with three months of Kindle Unlimited included for $84.99 ($15 off) on Amazon, $10 off its all-time low price. You can also buy it with ads, a power adapter, and a fabric cover starting at $108.97 ($41 off).

Amazon’s latest Kindle e-reader isn’t waterproof and doesn’t have adjustable color temperature, but it’s still easily recommended given its high-resolution display and large storage capacity. The Essentials bundle offered here also comes with a power adapter and one of four fabric covers.

If you’re looking to buy an e-reader for a child under 12, the Kindle Kids might be the best option. It’s identical to the standard Kindle, but it’s ad-free and comes with optional parental controls. It also includes a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids Plus, which gives kids access to thousands of kid-friendly games, videos, and books, as well as a case and a two-year extended replacement warranty.

Right now, Amazon is selling the Kindle for Kids for $99.99 ($20 off), which is $20 off its all-time low price of $79.99.

Amazon’s latest Kindle Kids is identical to the standard Kindle, meaning it has a 300 ppi display and support for USB-C charging, but comes with a case, a two-year extended warranty, and one year of Amazon Kids Plus.

Amazon’s latest Kindle Paperwhite e-reader features a 6.8-inch E Ink display with adjustable color temperature for nighttime reading. It also has a faster processor, extra battery life, IPX8 waterproofing, and a USB-C port. Read our review.

From a crisp display to USB-C, the 6.8-inch Kindle Paperwhite Amazon offers all the features that make the Kindle great and then some. It’s my favorite Amazon e-reader for that reason, with extras like IPX8 waterproofing, adjustable warm white lighting on the front, and a battery life that can last for months making it a great all-around option. Right now, you can buy the Kindle Paperwhite with 16GB of storage and ads for $134.99 , which is far from its all-time low price of $99.99 but still one of its best prices in recent months. Amazon also offers the 16GB Paperwhite with a power adapter and your choice of a fabric cover for $164.97 ($30 off), a leather cover for $171.97 ($30 off), or the 8GB model with a “cork” cover for $189.97 ($20 off).

Amazon is also offering a discount on the ad-free Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition. The e-reader is identical to the Paperwhite but adds Qi wireless charging, a sensor that automatically adjusts the backlight when needed, and 32GB of storage. It’s on sale for $179.99 ($10 off), which is a far cry from its all-time low price of $129.99, but again one of the few discounts we’ve seen in recent months.

The premium Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition offers the same design and performance as the standard model, but with more storage, an automatic light sensor, and support for Qi wireless charging.

Finally, Amazon is offering a discount on the kids’ version of the Kindle Paperwhite. The Kindle Paperwhite Kids is identical to the Kindle Paperwhite, but like the Kindle Kids, it’s ad-free and comes with a kid-friendly cover, a two-year extended replacement warranty, optional parental controls, and one year of Amazon Kids Plus. You can buy it on sale for $149.99. While it’s $30 off its best price yet, the deal is decent considering we haven’t seen the model go on sale as often as we have this year.

Amazon’s kid-friendly Paperwhite is identical to the standard Paperwhite, but it’s ad-free and comes with the added benefits of a two-year Hardware Protection Plan, one year of Amazon Kids Plus, and a choice of three kid-friendly covers.

Best Kindle Scribe Deals

The Kindle Scribe is Amazon’s largest e-reader yet, with a crisp 10.2-inch display, exceptional battery life, and a stylus for note-taking. Read our review.

If you are someone who likes to take notes while reading, the ad-free book Kindle Scribe It might be worth a look. With its crisp 10.2-inch screen, it’s the largest in the Kindle lineup and the only one with a stylus that you can use to annotate books or take notes in its built-in virtual notebooks.

In all honesty, this isn’t my favorite e-reader for taking notes. That honor goes to the more capable Kobo Elipsa 2E. Still, the Scribe has come a long way since its launch, as Amazon regularly releases software updates. Over the past year, for example, Amazon has added the ability to convert handwriting to typed text (to some extent), write directly on the pages of some Kindle titles, and expanded the selection of pen styles, making the e-reader a much more appealing purchase.

Amazon’s Kindle Scribe Essentials starter pack includes a 16GB Kindle Scribe, a Basic or Premium stylus, a power adapter, and a leather folio cover in your choice of color.

The 16GB Kindle Scribe normally starts at $339.99, but you can currently buy it with three months of Kindle Unlimited on Amazon for $234.99. That’s a new all-time low price for the note-taking e-reader. Amazon is also discounting various bundles, offering the 16GB Kindle Scribe with a leather cover and power adapter for $281.97 ($168 off). You can also buy a bundle that includes the Premium Stylus (which offers a built-in eraser and shortcut button), leather cover, and power adapter for $419.97 ($60 off).
