Amazon is reportedly laying off hundreds of workers as part of a new round of budget cuts this year.
The latest round of job cuts will impact employees in its cloud division, Amazon Web Services said, Bloomberg reported.
Sales and marketing employees will be affected, in addition to the team working to create technology for its retail stores, the report said.
An Amazon spokesperson told Bloomberg: “We have identified a few targeted areas of the organization that we need to streamline in order to continue to focus our efforts on key strategic areas that we believe will have maximum impact.”
The company previously cut “up to 160 positions” in its advertising unit in March.
