Amanda Seyfried Debuts Silver Hair at the 2024 Met Gala

Silver was a popular color on the 2024 Met Gala carpet, with stars like FKA Twigs and Kim Kardashian sporting the ethereal metallic hue. Amanda Seyfried, however, took it to the next level, pairing her blue-silver Prada dress and coordinating crown with blue-silver locks.

Styled by celebrity stylist Renato Campora with hot tools from Kristen Ess, Seyfried’s look is bold and icy. Aside from some strong S-curls framing the face, her new silver locks are slicked back into a stunning bun. The icing on the cake is a bejeweled leafy headpiece. Her hair is very structured, mimicking the structure of her dress, which has dramatic volume at her hips. The look could easily be robotic, but the curls paired with the delicate headpiece lend a softness to the look.

For her makeup, Seyfried wore light silver eyeshadow framed by fluttering lashes. The subtle but eye-themed moment was paired with clean skin and bright purple lipstick, matching the purple flourishes on her dress. And her nails are, of course, also a shiny silver shade.

The resulting look was complimentary and true to the theme, including the actress’ stunning silver gown. Taking the “garden” part of the “Le Jardin du Temps” dress code literally, Seyfried’s dress was covered in 3D pink and black flower buds. Finished off with a crown of silver leaves to match her new hair color, the final effect was part fairytale, part ice princess.
