Always bet against the man from Davos

DAVOS, Switzerland — Eight years ago, Davos Man made fun of Donald Trump. Five years ago, he despised Trump. But in 2025, the mood at the World Economic Forum has completely changed.

The great change in the American atmosphere has reached Davos, and the European economic elite absolutely wants to take advantage of it. Two days spent walking along the Promenade, the main artery of the Swiss ski resort where the WEF is held each year, were enough to convince me.

It is true that WEF propaganda remains obsessed with environmental, social and governance issues and, of course, diversity, equity and inclusion – the familiar, woke globalist acronyms ESG and DEI, now supplemented by ‘AI. Corporate billboards continue to blather on about resilience and sustainability. But talk to leaders and a very different picture emerges.
