All lanes remain closed due to semi-crash on SB I-75 in Dayton

UPDATE at 10:42 a.m.

Southbound Interstate 75 remains closed after a semi-crash early Wednesday morning.

We are working to determine how long drivers can close lanes and will provide updates as we learn more.

Traffic remains disrupted after a semi-crash on southbound Interstate 75 in Dayton early Wednesday morning.

As Xavier Hershovitz reported on News Center 7’s Daybreaka partially overturned tractor-trailer on I-75 SB between Stanley Avenue and State Route Four.

Photos and video show the semi overturned and debris on its side.

All lanes remain closed on I-75 SB and traffic has been diverted to State Route 4.

ODOT cameras show delays on I-75 past Stanley Avenue.

It is expected to increase throughout the morning commute.

Drivers can use the contraflow lane on SB I-75 or use surface streets to avoid delays.

Drivers can exit I-75 SB at Stanley Avenue, Needmore Road or Benchwood Road, according to WHIO traffic reporter Jake Magnotta.

Dayton police and medics were dispatched at 2:25 a.m. to initial reports of a crash on I-75 SB between Stanley Avenue and State Route Four.

ODOT cameras show right lanes closed and tractor-trailer partially overturned

Initial scanner traffic indicated a possible gas leak, but News Center 7 has not confirmed it.

Montgomery County Regional Dispatch said there was a possible hazardous materials situation and the Ohio State Highway Patrol was also on scene.

Hershovitz says traffic on I-75 SB is being diverted to State Route Four.

Dayton police and medics were dispatched at 2:25 a.m. to initial reports of a crash on I-75 SB between Stanley Avenue and State Route Four.

News Center 7’s Xavier Hershovitz checks conditions and provides updates LIVE NOW on News Center 7’s Daybreak.

Initial scanner traffic indicated there was a possible gas leak, but News Center 7 has not confirmed this.

Montgomery County Regional Dispatch says there is a possible hazardous materials situation and the Ohio State Highway Patrol is also on scene.

Hershovitz says traffic in the contraflow lane is open.

ODOT cameras show a large police and fire response on I-75 SB between Stanley Avenue and State Route Four.

Traffic is being diverted onto State Route 4.

Initial scanner traffic also indicated the tractor-trailer may have partially overturned and struck a highway sign.
