ALIEN: ROMULUS – New fixed features Rain Carradine and his Android brother; Full trailer tomorrow

Fans have been waiting to see more pictures of Fede Alvarez. Extraterrestrial: Romulus since the release of the first scary teaser, and now we have an update on the full trailer for the return of the iconic sci-fi horror franchise to the big screen.

There has been talk of the new trailer landing today, but according to insider Daniel Richtman, it will be with us tomorrow, Tuesday the 4th.

Additionally, Empire shared an official new one still starring Cailee Spaeny as Rain Carradine and David Jonsson as her android adoptive brother, Andy.

Synthetics (or artificial people if you prefer not to offend Bishop) are a fashion staple. Extraterrestrial franchise since the beginning, but it seems Romulus will introduce a human/android dynamic we’ve never seen before.

“When his father was dying, he left Andy as his caretaker,” Álvarez says of the duo. “But Andy is a little damaged and it’s an older model. Thus, more than a substitute father, he becomes a little brother for her. And that’s always been the heart of the story: this relationship between the two…and how that relationship plays out once the shit hits the fan.

“In this one, Rain’s brother is a synthetic”, Spaeny said in a previous interview. “She loves him like her brother, but there are challenges growing up with a synthetic, and some of the challenges she faces during the film are related. That relationship dynamic is really interesting to subvert; it was really fun to exploring having a synthetic as a family member and the questions that poses, David Jonsson, who plays this character, was so brilliant and really nailed that performance.
