Alexi Lalas jumped into the defense of Donald Trump about “the administrative error” which accidentally expelled an American citizen to a notorious prison last month.
Trump’s administration admitted to having mistakenly sent a man from Maryland with a legal status protected in prison in the country of Central America, but arguing against bringing him back because of his alleged gang ties and their lack of power on El Salvador.
The lawyers of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, 29, argue that he is not affiliated with any street gang while the US government “ has never produced an iota of evidence that it does.
In the midst of the controversy surrounding Garcia and his accidental deportation to El Salvador, Lalas defended the president during the confusion and rather transferred the blame to his predecessor Joe Biden.
The retired analyst of the USMNT Star and Fox Sports was first criticized on his support for Trump by a user on X who wrote: “We are a lot here to monitor the Bulls *** that you promote.”
They then added: “Give us a convincing argument to expel a legal resident innocent to a foreign mega-prison in violation of an order from the permanent court … We expect”.

But Lalas jumped towards the defense of the president and pointed out on the predecessor Joe Biden
Lalas, however, set by arguing that the decision of the Biden administration “to open our borders irresponsible” means that there are probably errors because Trump “cleanses the mess”.
He replied: “Well, when you intentionally and irresponsible our borders allowing millions of people to enter illegally, someone must clean the disorder and restore order, security and meaning.
“Given massive numbers, there may be errors. It’s a big mess and you will get a little dirty.
Lalas, who was a Star of the United States at the 1994 World Cup, struck the Democratic Party and expressed his support for Trump several times in the past.
In July of last year, the former footballer attended the Milwaukee Republican Convention, a month before targeting Biden on his farewell speech after abandoning the electoral race.
Lalas made fun of the opening address of the then president, writing on social networks: “Biden shouting in the night was cold, sad and out of words”.
He added: “It was: cold – he was relegated to the dark late at night. Sad – Being out of the elections and having left the shouting in the midnight abyss was not the way he (or (woman) Jill) envisaged history to end.
“Insurely – Nothing he said has changed only one vote … Even if someone stayed.”
