US Postal Service for 73 cents, please.
A new Forever Stamp, to be released by the agency next month, will pay homage to this long-standing character. Danger! host Alex Trebek, who died in 2020.
The stamp resembles the blue and white clue board from the iconic quiz show, with the following prompt: “This naturalized U.S. citizen hosted the quiz show”Danger!‘ for 37 seasons.
Below and upside down is the answer written in the series’ signature interrogative format: “Who is Alex Trebek?” (Trebek was born in Ontario, Canada.)
The stamps will be sold in a set of 20 that resembles the game board from the TV show, with categories including “entertainment” and “famous Alexes,” as well as a photo of Trebek himself.
The USPS will issue the stamps beginning July 22 at 4 p.m. Pacific Time. A sheet of 20 will cost $14.60.
The price of Forever Stamps is expected to increase from 68 cents to 73 cents in July.
Current Danger! host Ken Jennings announcement the new stamp Friday during the show.
The philatelic tribute then intervenes Danger! celebrates its 60th anniversary on the air, after its debut on March 30, 1964.
