Jamahal Hill might want to look away… Alex Pereira not only beat, but erased Francis Ngannou’s record on the PowerKube.
The PowerKube is a device for measuring the power of a single strike, with a padded target connected to a computer and data provided in real time.
Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion known for his freakish strength and knockout ability, tried the machine in 2018.
He scored 129.161 horsepower, and at the time, Dana White said, “His punches are equivalent to 96 horsepower.”

PowerKube measures speed, power and endurance. Impact power as measured by Ngannou and Pereira combines power (measured in watts) with energy (measured in joules) to form a single, concise metric that accurately reflects a combat athlete’s punching power, according to the company’s website.
Speed is measured by timing the gap between a keystroke and the on-screen trigger that fires it, as well as endurance over a high volume of keystrokes.
