Montgomery, ala. (WSFA) – The Diageo North America alcoholic drinks Announced plans For a new manufacturing and storage installation in Montgomery.
The company claims that it will build an installation of 360,000 square feet with an annual production capacity of several million funds for Diageo alcohol brands. The new installation will be called Diageo Montgomery.
The Chamber of Commerce of the Montgomery Region said it would be located at the exit of Hope Hull Off Interstate 65.
The company claims that the investment of $ 415 million will provide a new operating point closer to distributors in the southern Diageo region. The location should reduce the required road trips.
Diageo claims that the new installation will also use “advanced technology for more efficient consumption of water and energy on the site”.

Governor Kay Ivey is also quoted in the announcement saying: “The Diageo decision to open a advanced installation in Montgomery testifies to the ability of Alabama to attract world -class companies and to promote significant economic growth. This production and distribution center brings not only high quality jobs to our state, but also strengthens the reputation of Alabama as the first location for world investment. We are proud to welcome Diageo in Alabama and we are delighted with the positive impact that this project will have on Montgomery and beyond. »»
Diageo Montgomery should be fully operational in the second half of 2025.
The company says that it will create around 750 jobs during the construction phase. Once operational, the installation should employ around 100 full -time staff.
