Alaska Airlines announced new non -stop flights from Seattle to Rome from May 2026.

Seattle – Alaska Airlines announced Tuesday that it would start to offer a non -stop flight in Rome next year.

This is the first non -stop flight from Seattle to Italy, and Rome is the largest European destination which is not currently served with a non -stop service in Seattle, according to the airline based in Seattle.

“Rome has been at the top of the list since we announced our new World Gateway from Seattle,” said Ben Minicucci, CEO of Alaska Airlines, in a statement. “Our guests have asked for an easy way to go to Italy for years, and we are delighted to provide it with people in the North West and beyond.”

Flights will start in May 2026 and tickets will be sold from this fall. Alaska plans to offer a flight at 6 p.m. for Rome on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. A return flight to Seattle will be offered at 3:45 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

This is the third flight to Widebody, International Flight that Alaska will offer to Seattle. Alaska had previously launched a service in Tokyo Narita on May 12 and plans to start the service in Seoul Incheon on September 12.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) has been Grow as a global destination. Barely two years ago, only 25 airlines operated international roads from SEA airport. At the end of 2025, this number will reach 30.

At the end of this year, SEA will offer a non -stop service to 34 international cities, including Copenhagen, Zurich and Seoul. In 2024, the airport added direct flights to Toronto, Munich, Taipei and Manila.
