NORMAL, Ala. (WHNT) – The Alabama A&M University Bulldogs earned a victory over the Mississippi Valley State University Delta Devils in Homecoming Weekend’s game. The final score was 45 to 25.
As the game kicked off at 2:00 p.m., fans gathered on campus all morning.
News 19 spoke to many fans and alumni who came from near and far to attend the reunion weekend.
Rosemary L. Anthony Stubblefield told News 19 she arrived from Houston, Texas.
“As an A&M graduate, coming home means something, because it’s family,” she said.
Stubblefield said his family stays with his sister who lives in north Alabama and they cherish this time together.

Attending Alabama A&M is a family tradition for many families. Including Monica Bryant Alexander.
“I’m a second-generation bulldog,” she said.
Her mother told News 19 it was “her choice” to attend; however, Alexander said Alabama A&M was his first choice.
The Class of 2002 graduate said Homecoming is the perfect time to reconnect with friends and celebrate college.
“I’m just excited to be here with my friends, my sorority sisters, we’re here to have a good time,” she said.
Saturday afternoon the tailgating area was filled with people cooking great food, playing games and enjoying the atmosphere.
“The general vibe here is just love and peace and happiness,” Reggie Kelly said.
He said with Alabama A&M celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, this homecoming is even more special.
“150 years, you know, know that that’s 150 years of excellence!” Kelly said.
