Al Jazeera bureau chief calls order to close satellite channel’s offices in Israel ‘very dangerous’

Israel on Sunday ordered the local offices of the Qatari satellite news channel Al Jazeera to close. The extraordinary order would be the first time Israel has shut down a foreign media outlet operating in the country. Al Jazeera’s bureau chief for Israel and the Palestinian territories called the move “very dangerous” and said the channel’s legal team was working on a response.
