Aimee Lou Wood felt “super weird” spinning the final of “White Lotus”

Season three of White Lotus ended and, in complete safety, we are all completely devastated. Unfortunately, one of the dominant theories of fans has come true – Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) was a victim, with his improbable soul mate, Rick (Walton Goggins). The broken heart does not start to cover it.

As the actress explained it during a special end event in the Four Seasons Westlake Village, she felt the heaviness of her character’s fate for weeks before filming.

“For about two weeks before shooting it, I felt super weird,” she said, by The Hollywood Reporter. “It was like this strange and disturbing thing that only stayed above us, then it was like the hottest day of all time and Walton had to love me so many times and it was so hot.”

In the last moments of the season, Rick caught the weapon of the owner of White Lotus, Jim Hollinger and killed him, only to learn from Jim’s wife, Sritala, that Jim was Rick’s biological father. Rick quickly found himself in a shooting with Jim’s bodyguards, and Chelsea was taken in the cross -fires and killed. Gaitok took the final blow, killing Rick as he was carrying Chelsea’s body away from the scene.

Wood continued explaining that he always I felt “strange”. “Chelsea does not know what will happen to her, but I know, so it’s this strange thing,” she said, adding that “he seemed exactly what it was, which is really strange.” She concluded that Chelsea’s fate had still “not soaked”.

Goggins also expressed his sadness in the face of the tragic end of their characters with a sincere post on Instagram.

“Rick + Chelsea. With the heaviest of hearts … For me, ours was a love story,” he wrote. “It was only a love story, hampered by an unresolved infant trauma. We have them all … But can we surpass ourselves. Your tender heart, for the privilege of giving us the opportunity to say it.

Naturally, the whole team was super vigilant to keep the plot in the wraps, even distributing six “false ends” as lure. However, in the days before the final, Wood admitted that the end of Chelsea would probably be “controversial” for fans. Talk about an understatement.
