“Africa must cooperate by being a welded block” – RT in French

On the sidelines of the Russia-Africa summit in Moscow, RT France interviewed the president of the Guinean National Council of Transition, Dansa Kourouma. He considers it appropriate for African nations to form a bloc in their discussions with the rest of the world.

Questioned on March 19 by RT France on Russian-African relations, Dansa Kourouma, president of the National Council of the Transition of the Republic of Guinea, noted a “relaxation”, following a period of “very important cooperation” with the USSR around the 1960s at the time of the independence of many African countries.

Now, the representatives of African nations currently gathered in Moscow within the framework of a Russia-Africa summit intend “to examine the methods of relaunching and invigorating this Russian-African collaboration”, according to Dansa Kourouma.

For the senior Guinean official, “Africa must cooperate as a united bloc with all the countries of the world” and it is important to work with Russia on “new avenues”, in particular in the fields of technology and l entrepreneurship.

Russia-Africa relations must be “based on an economic relationship that allows all states to win while investing in priority areas for the African continent, and not wanted by those who are in a position of technological domination”, underlines Dansa Kourouma .
