Adele blasts fan during show for saying ‘Pride sucks’

Adele has no room for hateful comments at her concert, especially not during Pride Month. On June 1, the first official day of the month-long celebration, the pop star uttered numerous foul words during her Las Vegas residency show after one of her concert attendees shouted “Pride sucks” loud enough for her to hear.

“Did you come on my fucking show and just say Pride sucks? Are you fucking stupid?” she said, pointing to the person in the crowd who made the brash comment.

“Don’t be so ridiculous,” she continued, as the Coliseum at Caesars Palace filled with applause following her comments. “If you don’t have anything nice to say, just shut up. Okay?”

Adele is a long-time ally of the LGBTQ+ community. In 2016, after the shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, the “Rolling in the Deep” singer used the time of his concert at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp to dedicate his entire show to the victims of the fatal incident which left 50 dead and 53 injured.

“I would like to start tonight by dedicating this entire show to everyone in Orlando at Pulse nightclub,” she told the crowd at the concert. “The LGBTQIA community has been like my soul mates since I was really young, so I’m really moved by that.”

In the years that followed, Adele allowed men to propose to their boyfriends on stage at her concerts, partied at a gay bar with Jennifer Lawrence in New York, and even became an ordained minister so she could marry British comedian Alan Carr and his husband. , Paul Drayton.
