Adam Rodriguez Recalls His Brutal ‘Celebrity Jeopardy’ Loss to Mira Sorvino on ‘Live’: ‘I Went to High School, She Went to Harvard’

Adam Rodriguez may not have won Peril of famebut it’s still a good sport.

THE Criminal Minds: Evolution star sat down with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on Live with Kelly and Mark this morning, where the self-proclaimed Danger! One fan recalled her 2023 appearance on the game show’s celebrity counterpart.

When asked how his appearance went, he replied coyly: “Not as good as I wanted.” »

Rodriguez explained that he received the highly anticipated call to appear on the show during a family road trip to Montana, about “four days before they were supposed to come home.”

“So I had to cut the trip short by about two days and drive 17 hours to get home in time to do the show,” he explained. “And so we just beat this hurricane that was coming to the West Coast. And we are like hours before the hurricane, like at the beginning of the rain.

He noted that he filmed the series the next day after returning home and admitted that he “didn’t get the performance he was hoping for.” He, Ripa and Consuelos all agreed that “the buzzer” was to blame.

“If you’ve ever done it, the buzzer is tricky,” Rodriguez added.

He noted that Mira Sorvino, who was ultimately defeated by eventual champion Lisa Ann Walter in the semifinals, “beat him hands down.” Still, after Consuelos said Sorvino is “someone good to beat,” Rodriguez still took his defeat lightly.

“But I mean, she went to Harvard,” he teased. “I went to high school, she went to Harvard. I don’t feel so bad.
