ATLANTA – Ronald Acuna Jr. looked with interest when Jarred Kelenic was thrown to the second goal after failing to get out of the striker in a long journey in the 4-3 victory of Atlanta Braves on the Minnesota Twins.
Acuna went to social networks to criticize how manager Brian Snitker managed the situation.
Acuna, recovering from surgery after tearing his left ACL last May, replied to a position on X by MLB.com journalist Mark Bowman on Sunday when Bowman was asked if Snitker had commented Kelenic. Bowman posted that Snitker “protected Kelenic by replying:” I was supposed to “when he asked if he had said something to the Kélenic.”
Acuna responded to Bowman’s post: “If it was me, they would withdraw from the game.” The answer by Acuna was deleted about an hour later.
Kelenic’s journey on Saturday evening rebounded on the wall in the right field and was thrown to the second goal by Trevor Larnach.
Acuna was withdrawn from 5-3 victory from the brave people against the Los Angeles Dodgers on August 19, 2019. Then only 21 years old, but already an All-Star, Acuna was slow to leave the striker on a long journey that bounced on the right field wall for a long simple.
Snitker waited for a round then released Acuna.
“He has not run. You have to run,” said Snitker about Acuna after the 2019 match. “It will not be acceptable here. As a teammate, you are responsible for 24 other guys. This name on the front is much more important than the name in the back of this jersey. You cannot do this. We are trying to do something special and personal things must be put on the special Back-Brown.
Acuna had the knee evaluated last week and he was allowed to start cutting as he continued his rehabilitation. He could return to the programming of the brave next month.
Acuna was injured after 49 games last season and only reached 0.250 with four circuits, a year after winning the National League MVP with 41 circuits, 73 interceptions and an average of the stick of .337.
Kelenic, only hitting .170, could lose his starting job when Acuna returns. The Braves entered the Sunday match with consecutive victories for the first time this season while the new head striker and the left -hand player Alex Verdugo started quickly. Verdugo managed four shots and rolled in the Channel on Saturday evening.
