Abhishek Banerjee ignores ED summons, dares to ‘stop’ him from going to Delhi to attend TMC protest – Firstpost
TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee said he would be in Delhi on October 2 and 3 to join his party in protesting the Centre’s decision to withhold West Bengal’s dues under MGNREGA.

Earlier, the TMC leader had hit out at the central government following his summons by the ED on October 3, which coincided with the TMC’s planned protest in Delhi.
The TMC claimed that Banerjee’s summons was an attempt by the BJP to disrupt its rally planned in New Delhi on the same day.

Banerjee, along with other MPs, MLAs and party leaders, will pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat in the national capital on October 2, on his birth anniversary.
A TMC delegation will meet Union Rural Development Minister and Panchayati Raj Giriraj Singh on October 3 and take up the issue of ‘non-release of dues’ under the Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Act rural (MGNREGA).
