New Jets wide receiver Malachi Corley already appears to be getting a warm welcome in Mr. Rodgers’ neighborhood.
Future Pro Football Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers was certainly excited about Gang Green’s third-round pick Friday night, reacting both on social media and in a text to Jets executives.

Jets general manager Joe Douglas and head coach Robert Saleh both told reporters that Rodgers was “excited.”
“I already received a text, he is excited”, Saleh said.
Corley, who has been compared to 49ers star Deebo Samuel, set a Western Kentucky school record with 259 career receptions for 2,943 yards and 29 touchdowns.
“He is elite with the ball in his hands,” Saleh spoke to reporters about Corley. “He’s an angry runner. He obviously calls himself the “YAC KING” and he deserves it. We’ll have it here. He definitely has things to work on, but at the same time, we like his mindset. We like his style of play. He will bring an extra element that we don’t have to our team.
The Jets selection seemed to deserve praise both outside and inside 1 Jets Drive.
An NFL general manager said Peter Schrager of NFL Network that Corley will “win several angry @GMFB races this year…just watch.”
Corley was live on Instagram when the Jets made their third-round selection.
Corley was seen watching the pick on TV with family and friends, and he was already wearing a Jets hat before the pick was announced.
The room erupted when his name was called and when the camera cut back to Corley, he was hugging his family members.
