Shailene Woodley has confirmed she is engaged to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The actor discussed his relationship with Rodgers on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday, saying they got engaged “some time ago.” Rodgers, 37, mentioned his engagement and thanked his fiancee while accepting his third career MVP award on February 6, but did not say his name.
“Yes, we are engaged,” said Woodley. “We’re engaged. But to us that’s not news, you know, so it’s kinda funny. Everyone’s freaking out about it and we’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a long time. moment.’ “
Woodley, 29, said she still had not attended one of Rodgers’ games, highlighting attendance restrictions caused by the pandemic last season. Woodley added that she had never even seen a football game before meeting Rodgers.

“He is first of all a wonderful and amazing human being, but I never thought I would be engaged to someone who throws balls for a living,” said Woodley. “Like I never thought as a little girl, I was like, ‘Yeah, when I grow up I’m going to marry someone who throws balls, yeah!’ But he’s really so good at it. “
Woodley said she realized Rodgers was a football player when they met, but didn’t know much about his career. She said friends are now trying to get her to watch Rodgers highlights on YouTube.
“I don’t know him as a footballer,” Woodley said. “I know him as the nerd who wants to animate ‘Jeopardy! “. He’s the guy I know. He just happens to be really good at sports too.”
