A woman who threw the personal effects of her boyfriend from a balcony during an argument was killed after pretending to throw a balustrade on the third floor, police said.
According to the San Diego police service, Irene Williams, 61, and Albert Turner, 57, have been going out together for some time, but argued on Monday evening.
Williams, police said, started throwing Turner’s business from the balcony of an apartment on the third floor in the 500 block on boulevard West San Ysidro. Turner would then have caught Williams and threw him on the concrete below, according to the authorities.
Witnesses near the apartment called the police at 7:21 p.m. and reported having seen someone throwing the woman from the balcony.
When the police arrived, they found Williams in the building courtyard with a serious head trauma and a broken leg. She was taken to a neighboring hospital, but was then declared dead.
Turner was placed in police custody and reserved under suspicion of murder, being a criminal in possession of a firearm and violating probation.
He is currently detained without surety in the central prison of San Diego, according to childcare files.
