With an IU 8 finally available in its first form, the Samsung Foundation was laid for the next updates to the final version. This update comes while Android 16 QPR1 was launched a week before, presenting some of the highly anticipated design changes from Google. So how do they compare? Let’s be a little deeper.
One of the biggest changes that the two Android constructions have suffered was in the notification shade and the quick settings menu, even if it happened for Samsung some time ago. The two bring a unique design, but Android 16 went a little further in the expressive upgrade of equipment 3.
The quick parameter tiles are now customizable, which means that the QS menu can be completely modified to adapt to the user. The Samsung quick parameters menu does not offer tile sizes, but it is not affected by wide tiles to start with either. Each icon is the same size.
Samsung offers a beautiful page of quick parameters, as a whole. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are separated, as well as other commands below. The choice of this layout, however, forces notifications to a completely different page.
The new version of Android 16 on the edition of QS tiles is also such a good change. These tiles are not classified, which makes them find them much easier and less stressful, especially if you configure a new device. Third -party tiles are also identified as such.
In terms of locking screen and personalization of the home screen, Samsung did not do much to change the way it works these elements. However, there is a lot of time for Samsung to introduce more changes in an 8 user interface. Google has made serious adjustments that improve the whole experience. Clock designs are easier to find and adjust, while additional details like shortcuts are better laid out.
A user interface 8 always gains in the customization of the locking screen due to the fact that the clock and other widgets can be moved to facilitate a better display. Android 16 allows wallpaper effects, which give an additional small flair.
As a minor detail without real functionality, the two versions of Android 16 provide a more colorful parameter application. The change to Android 16 meant that pixel devices get a brighter option center, although Samsung has made this change some time ago.
Another big change that Samsung makes in an IU 8 is in the form of a change on the split screen. Now users can Adjust a 90:10 divisionCloser to the way the OnePlus devices work. Android 16 QPR1 does not allow this, and in the widest share, the secondary application takes a very small appearance ratio.
Many changes to Samsung One UI 8 came in the form of application updates in Android. For example, the weather application now shows people instead of animal visuals, and the internet application has a better shortcut menu.
Android 16 QPR1 introduced a change in solid design language called expressive material 3. This adjustment affects the basic asset set that Google makes the developers at the disposal. This affects the design of quick parameter tiles, lock screen items and much more. Essentially, this change has altered the whole aspect of Android, for the best.
A UI 8, on the other hand, does not do much to change the way it presents itself. But it does not matter, because Samsung has made similar design changes in a user interface 7. This takes particularly effect in the design of the quick settings menu and other elements on a user interface 8.
These two operating systems have undergone a change of design in the past year, which most likely means that we will not see another significant change for a while. The design in each of these Android versions is what we get.
As for the features, none of these constructions are in its last step. Some or changes of changes could appear before becoming fully public. For the moment, however, there are some key differences that must be highlighted.
Between Android 16 and one UI 8 in their current forms, it is difficult to say which operating system can claim a victory. Samsung has developed a design language which is very obviously Samsung, and Google has transformed Android 16 into a modern operating system that resembles all the other modern variants of Android. However, the design corresponds well to each version, although Android 16 QPR1 can be better compared to the two.
Since these two versions are far from final and only available on certain devicesIt is sure to say that more changes arrive, even if they are small. Currently, however, the two are solid upgrades of the previous version, and we expect much more from Samsung in a user interface 8.
