Declan Rice had the last laugh after a Tottenham fan hurled insults at him as he took a corner… only for it to lead to Arsenal’s third goal on Sunday.

The Spurs supporter was seen hurling insults at the Arsenal midfielder, but quickly headed for the exit as the corner was nodded in by Kai Havertz.

Rice made sure to give back a little by turning around and celebrating towards the fan before joining his teammates.

The Gunners survived a comeback from their biggest rivals to complete a north London derby double for the season and ensure they would remain top of the Premier League table until at least next Saturday.

The match started perfectly for Mikel Arteta’s side as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg headed the ball into his own goal in the 15th minute.

The Gunners took a 3-0 lead before half-time, with Bukayo Saka producing a cool finish before Havertz’s header.

A Spurs supporter failed to push away Declan Rice as his corner was nodded.

The home side hit back with Cristian Romero capitalizing on a David Raya error before Son Heung-min headed over from the penalty spot after Rice had awarded a penalty.

The visitors held on to keep the pressure on Man City, who did their job by beating Nottingham Forest later in the day.

“I think so,” the Spaniard replied when asked if Arsenal were better equipped to win the title this time around.

“When you win, you always do. Last season we didn’t do it because we went to West Ham and we missed a penalty and against Liverpool we conceded in the 91st minute and you can’t do that.

Rice had the last word as his corner headed in to give Arsenal a 3-0 lead in the match.

“Ultimately the judgment will be based on this result. If they scored in the last minute to make it 3-3, we say they wouldn’t have been ready.

“The margins are so small. Don’t get carried away with yourself. We want to be better. There is room for improvement. Go back against Bournemouth because it’s going to be really difficult.
