- Teen taken with a knife and a false pistol trying to enter the stadium
- Police expressed prudence on the incident
A teenager would have been taken with a knife and a false pistol while trying to participate in an AFL without a ticket.
The 15-year-old approached the Melbourne Marvel Stadium door on Saturday afternoon, trying to enter the match between Essendon and the Swans of Sydney.
The teenager, who arrived without a ticket and could not enter the match, was searched by nearby officers, who discovered that he was wearing a small knife and a false pistol.
The police warned young people.
AFL was contacted for comments.
This is the second time that the AFL has been shaken by an arms incident after two men have been caught with firearms during a confrontation of Carlton-Collingwood with more than 82,000 fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in April.

The weapons were discovered after the pair, which was on bond, refused a security request to leave the place due to their behavior.
Officials blamed the incident of “ventilation” in screening measures.
