Women are not the only ones who get Botox injections.
Dr. Mark Epstein, a two -boards certified plastic surgeon, told Business Insider that he had seen an increase in male customers in the last decade.
Where men represented approximately less than 2% of its customers about 10 years ago, they are now close to 10%.
“Men are definitely interested in taking care of themselves and looking good – it is no longer just for women,” Epstein told Bi.
Regarding age, they direct the range – 18 to 80 – asking for treatments for anti -aging and weight loss. Even facial care and skin tightening procedures, previously carried out only on female customers, see more male interest, said Epstein.
Epstein has shared the most popular procedures that men ask, from facial charges to breast reduction.
Men want more hair, the less traffic jams

Epstein’s most popular non-surgical procedures are linked to the bald of male models, which affects 50 million men in the United States, suggest studies.
In the United States, hair transplants can cost $ 10,000 to $ 20,000. (Or you can go to Türkiye for $ 3,500).
Transplants can also cause scars if they are not well done. Epstein believes that offices should specialize in hair transplants for customers to obtain the best results, not as a additional module with other treatments.
It offers a less invasive (and less expensive) option: plasma therapy rich in platelets (PRP), an increasingly buzzed treatment that stimulates hair growth after the injection of plasma rich in platelets in the scalp.
“Many patients do not want to undergo surgery; they want to take advantage of the PRP and all other male hair restoration technologies that are now available,” he said.
Fill lifting continue to increase

Men are more interested in filling and other injectiles, whether for their faces or their enlargement of the penis, said Epstein.
The first is more popular in his office, men obtaining Botox with wrinkles and a smooth filling to compensate for the loss of volume and skin laxity which accompanies aging – a form of filling lifting which is cheaper and less invasive than surgical, which is nearly $ 12,000 on average.
Another non-surgical popular option is to use “lifting wires”, strands of dissolved sugar that “give a little regional skin hike,” he said.
Breast reduction is more common than you think

Another popular option in the Epstein office is breast reduction to treat gynecomastia or widen breasts in men. He had patients ranging from their adolescence to 70 years, because the widowed breasts can be caused by everything, hormones and consumption of steroids to aging.
Although it is technically a surgical procedure, he said that it was not very invasive and only takes a few weeks to recover, which makes him more attractive for men who want to return to their training routines.
Men over the age of 40, look at the elevators for the eyelids

Epstein’s older male customers in the forties at 60 are increasingly interested in elevators for eyelids, which can reduce the appearance of aging and fatigue by eliminating excess skin and fat around the eye.
With more than 30 years of experience in the field, Epstein said that surgery has evolved over time and is “much better than older procedures” to hide the surgery scar and preserve the shape of the eyes.
It is also not expensive that a surgical facelift, costing about $ 3,300 to $ 3,800 on average (although it varies on the location).
Liposuction is still hot, especially in the era of ozempique

Despite the popularity of GLP-1 drugs such as Ozempic and Mounjaro, which are used for weight loss, Epstein said it was “busy each year” with liposuction customers, including an increasing number of men.
Unlike weight loss drugs, liposuction is more targeted, said Epstein. “I like to call it” Lipo-Sculpture “, he said. “It is not only the suppression of bulk fat, it is a question of sculpting the body.” In fact, he said that his liposuction clients were generally in good shape or recently suffered weight loss.
They just want to “a little refining”, like eliminating fat around their median section to further reveal their muscles.

Some of Epstein’s male customers focus mainly on the toning of their bodies. They opt for treatments like Coolsculpting, which uses a device to freeze fat cells in certain areas, and Cooltone, which uses electromagnetic waves to stimulate muscle contraction, thus defining muscles more.
“You really think it’s like doing 10,000 sit-ups,” said Epstein.
