An accessories maker is showing off what it claims is a faithful replica of Nintendo’s unannounced Switch 2 console at CES in Las Vegas.

Genki is showing off the device behind closed doors at the Las Vegas Convention Center this week, where guests can hold the replica in their hands and get a feel for what it’s supposed to be like ‘Nintendo Switch 2 (51 items)’ href=”https: / /www.videogameschronicle.com/platforms/nintendo/nintendo-switch-2/”>Switch 2′ will be like holding.

The replica model – pictured on this page – is used to demonstrate the accessories Genki has planned for the Nintendo Switch (4,905 items)” href=”https://www.videogameschronicle.com/platforms/nintendo/switch/” >Nintendo Successor to the Switch, including controllers and a docking station, he specifies.

German publication Netzwelt was able to try out the Switch 2 replica, which Genki says has Nintendo’s “exact dimensions” (4,866 items)” href=”https://www.videogameschronicle.com/platforms/nintendo/ “>Nintendo’s unexpected console.

According to the post, the Switch 2 feels much larger to hold, with Joy-Cons that are moved to the side rather than pushed up (this is apparently due to plans for magnetic attachment).

Additionally, it states that the good Joy-Con controller presented by Genki features an additional unlabeled button compared to its predecessor.

Nintendo has yet to officially reveal its successor to the Switch, but the company has confirmed plans to do so during its current fiscal year, which ends in March 2025.

However, that hasn’t stopped a flood of alleged leaks from appearing on the internet in recent weeks and months.

Several case makers, who received details of upcoming technologies ahead of their announcement in order to prepare their products, recently released what they claim to be cases for Nintendo’s next console, revealing some details about the shape of the system.

The biggest alleged leaks began with images purporting to show the Nintendo Switch successor in September, showing a design that isn’t too different from the company’s current generation console.

Then, last week, purported images of the Switch 2’s internal hardware appeared on Reddit. If accurate, the images appear to confirm previous hardware spec rumors suggesting the new console will once again be powered by Nvidia (243 articles)” href=”https://www.videogameschronicle.com/companies/nvidia/” >Nvidia hardware.

Supposed images of the Switch 2 Joy-Cons have also made their way online. If genuine, they support previous claims that the Switch 2 Joy-Cons will be slightly larger and have a magnetic connection. It is also speculated that they could offer mouse-like support.

Then, on Tuesday, an image of what would be the Nintendo Switch 2 dock was released. According to the image, the Switch 2 will come with a larger 60W charger, meaning the original Nintendo Switch’s charger won’t be powerful enough to use with the system when connected.
