“ A neglected rate game, ‘explains Investor on Intel Actions

Intel (Nasdaq: Intc)) Actions have dropped ~ 11% since the “Liberation Day” of President Trump of unprecedented prices, which sparked a wave of market volatility while the business partners threatened reprisals. While the wider market was faced with massive pressure in last week, the S&P 500 rebounded today with a gain of 2.5%.

“Misery loves the company,” says the saying – and at least this time, intel investors could comfort themselves knowing that the bloodbath was widespread. This marked a change compared to most of 2024 when the intc shareholders were forced to sit on the touch (green with envy) because many of their peers fueled by AI fired in the stratosphere.

The last months, however, have been another story. The markets were in shock in 2025, and even the predominantly industrial Nvidia lost 24% of its value for the start of the year. In comparison, Intel losses of 2.5% since January 1st do not seem so bad.

So, in a tariff storm, could Intel position itself quietly for a return? The investor Yiannis Zourmpanos provides for a silver lining.

“The prices discreetly rewrite the flea war, and Intel is most of them to win the most, by taking advantage of the relocation of the United States, Defense Contracts and National Fab,” notes the investor.

Zourmpanos believes that Trump’s policies will generate a preference for semiconductors manufactured in the United States, in particular with regard to the more sensitive tasks required by the American government security establishment. These defense contracts tend to be both higher and more stable.

In addition, Zourmpanos predicts that many industry players in the private sector will be wary of depending on suppliers abroad and therefore seek to move their supply and supply chains in the United States.

On this note, NVIDIA and AMD, whose supply chains are in China and Taiwan, could face serious opposite winds – which potentially gives Intel one step ahead. The investor also suggests that a lower dollar, which fell, could help Intel exports.

“These fundamentals can help Intels to obtain market share in the PC AI segments and the data center while creating a market dynamic for its foundry activity based on the United States,” adds Zourmpanos.

Although the complete implications of Trump’s pricing game remain unknown, the investor maintains that they offer an imperative reason to take another look at intr.

“In the midst of volatility and transformation, this outsider can offer an asymmetrical advantage that the market has not fully assessed,” concludes Zourmpanos, who assesses Intc a Buy. (To look at the history of zourmpanos, click here)

Wall Street, on the other hand, is not completely convinced. The title has a consensus conservation side, with 27 analysts sitting on the fence, against only 1 purchase and 4 sales recommendations. The average price of 12 months amounts to $ 23.11, which implies a potential of around 18% – but for the moment, most analysts remain cautious. (See Intc action forecasts))
