Washington (7news) – A man was shot in Dupont Circle and two others were stabbed on Saturday evening, officials said. DC police asked everyone to clean the park while investigating.
According to the transit authorities, the entrance to the 19th rue to the Dupont Circle has reopened its doors.
The WorldPride parade ended around 7:30 p.m., according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). The officials reported the stab wounds and asked the crowds to avoid the area at the same time.
About 30 minutes later, shots were tested and the police ordered everyone to disperse in the park.
7News was there and saw crowds run away to a shelter.
Dupont Circle Park was reopened on Saturday morning before WorldPride after the mayor’s office and the National Park Service agreed not to barricade him for the festival.
