A man was accused of murder in the death of Austin Peay’s senior background, 22, William Hardrick, who died on Tuesday evening following a car accident, according to a WAFF report based on court documents.
John McAdams would also have been accused of Dui and leaving an accident.
He failed a sobriety test with alcohol content of 0.09%, the point of sale reported.
Austin Peay displayed a tweet on Wednesday announcing the death of Hardrick.
“We are really saddened by the death of William Hardrick, a new member of our Austin Peay football and family program,” said Austin Peay, Gerald Harrison, in a statement.
“All our thoughts and prayers are with the Hardrick family today. We will do our best to support his friends, family and teammates at the moment. ”
Hardrick died following a car accident on the I-65 in the county of Limetone, Alberta, according to Waff.
County County Coroner Mike West told Waff that Hardrick’s mother said her son returned from school when he died.
A car would have left the driving tracks and turned several times, Hardrick being declared dead at the scene of the accident.
Hardrick, from Adamsville, in Alberta, previously played for the state of Mississippi from 2021-2222 and Miami (Ohio) of 203-24 before transferring to Austin Peay.
He appeared in 18 games in the past two seasons, according to ESPN, and has raised 14 solo plated and four passes last season.
“William Hardrick was an exceptional young man, and our team has a heart broken by his loss,” said Austin Peay, Jeff Farris, in a statement.
“He improved everyone around him and had a real impact on and off the field. We raise the Hardrick family in prayer while we mourn this tragic loss with them. ”
