Since Musk announced he was laying off more than 10% of his workforce in April, six executives have left. While some have mentioned resignations, others have left, their teams being completely dissolved.
In his latest email to employees Monday regarding further layoffs, Musk said “we must be absolutely uncompromising on cutting headcount and costs,” according to a report from The Information.
Musk threatened that even more CEOs could face layoffs if deep enough cuts weren’t made.
He said he would seek the resignation of any executive “who retains more than three individuals who clearly do not pass the excellent, necessary and trustworthy test,” according to the report.

Tesla did not respond to Business Insider’s request for comment on the executive departures.
