The White House previously announced the discharge of 1 billion free home checks for Americans; then with free N95 masks to help defend against COVID.

SAN DIEGO — “We are heading into a time when COVID 19 will not disrupt our daily lives.”

President Biden addressed the nation at a briefing convention marking his first year in office. The president touched on everything from the economy to Russia to the pandemic and what Biden is touting as progress in the fight against COVID-19. The White House pre-announced the release of 1 billion free home checks for Americans. They’re following that up with free masks to help defend against COVID-19 amid the omicron surge.

President Biden added that the fight against the pandemic is not over, but maintains that the United States is better off than a year ago. Many Americans say the edit pointers have been irritating. Biden addressed the issue saying:

“Some people are calling what is happening now a new normal. I call that a job not yet finished. We are in a different place now. We have the tools: vaccines, boosters, masks, tests, pills to save lives and keep businesses and schools open.

One of these instruments: N95 masks. The 400 million free masks will come from the nation’s strategic stockpile and will be made available to the general public at thousands of local pharmacies and community health facilities starting next week, according to a White House official. This marks the largest deployment of personal protection tools in US history.

The president added that despite the masks and the deployment of vaccines, there is still work to be done to ensure that the unvaccinated have pictures of their arms.

“We’ve gone from 90 million adults without vaccines in our arms last summer to 35 million without vaccines as of today and we’re adding about 9 million more vaccines every week,” he said. .

Doctors and the CDC have now agreed that N95 masks are best for fighting the virus over preferred surgical or hardware masks. The president also added that the only way forward in the pandemic is past, and that is free vaccines, checks and now masks.

“We are not going to lockdowns. We are not going back to closing schools. Schools need to stay open,” Biden said.

Regardless of your immunization level, the CDC says all Americans should wear a mask indoors or in crowded environments outdoors in communities with high COVID-19 numbers. Currently, virtually every county in the country is listed in the excessive transmission red zone due to the surge of the omicron variant of COVID-19.
