The legal war against the Blizzard of the actions of President Trump’s executives is intensifying, with new proceedings and new emerging day and night decisions.
The judges are already making their mark: on Saturday, eight decisions at least temporarily interrupted the initiatives of the president. Other cases have not been decided. Regardless of the initial decisions of the judges, many decisions are likely to be interrupted and some may reach the Supreme Court in the coming months.
The dozens of proceedings are distributed in four main categories.
Immigration
The repression of the Trump administration against immigration – both legal and illegal – has led to at least 10 prosecution, of which seven disputes its decree revoining the universal citizenship of the dawn. The complainants who seek to defend the long -standing guarantee of the 14th amendment to the citizenship of the right of birthday include two groups of prosecutors of state, non -profit organizations representing pregnant mothers and an orange courses County, In California, who represents his pregnant wife.
Until now, the judges hearing these cases have been skeptical about the decision of Mr. Trump, delivering two preliminary injunctions which have put the president’s order on the ice. But one of the cases to be heard is before judge Timothy James Kelly of the Columbia district, who was appointed to the bench by Mr. Trump.
The other proceedings against the president’s immigration policies dispute the power of immigration agents to enter the worshiper; A note that accelerates and widens the scope of deportations; And a prescription that makes refugees more difficult to claim asylum in the United States. On Friday, San Francisco and other cities continued to block a decree which would retain the federal funds of cities which do not help apply the immigration policies of the Trump administration.
