A failed Olympics! Eagle-eyed spectators spotted a dancer’s testicle during the Paris 2024 opening ceremony, as she suffered an X-rated wardrobe malfunction

  • 2024 Olympics officially open after ceremony on the Seine
  • The athletes marched along the river instead of parading in a traditional stadium
  • However, one artist had an embarrassing X-rated dress mishap

An artist suffered an embarrassing, X-rated wardrobe malfunction at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

On Friday evening, the competing nations sailed down the Seine in a radical departure from previous Games ceremonies to mark the opening of the tournament.

Performances by Lady Gaga and Celine Dion were expected to steal the show, but eagle-eyed viewers noticed another artist who caught the eye.

At the opening ceremony, as one X user pointed out, one performer’s testicle appeared to be hanging out of his underwear as cameras panned to their boat.

It appears that the artist’s shorts managed to ride up his leg, causing an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.

France’s unique plan to hold the opening event outdoors rather than inside a stadium failed spectacularly tonight, as Parisians, celebrities, politicians and royals from around the world were forced to take shelter from the horrendous rain.

As President Emmanuel Macron announced the start of the Games, the Olympic flag was raised on the Trocadéro square. But eagle-eyed observers quickly noticed that it had been placed the wrong way up the flagpole, another blunder.

The athletes aboard the Team GB boat – led by flag bearer diver Tom Daley and rower Helen Glover, with tennis stars Andy Murray and Katie Boulter on board – decided to brave the bad weather, forgoing raincoats and umbrellas as they smiled and waved to fans.

Murray shared a screenshot of a fan’s sage advice on his Instagram – not to stand outside in the rain as it could “rust” – after posting stories of him waving the Union Flag as the Great Britain flotilla sailed down the Seine in Paris.

The Scot has nevertheless kept a positive attitude as he prepares for his final tournament as a professional tennis player.

He announced on Tuesday that he was ending a very successful career by arriving in Paris before his fifth Olympic Games.

There were also many other activities on offer, including a fashion show on a bridge while others presented bicycle tricks.
