A woman died and two other people were injured Thursday evening after a van went to the Bay of San Diego, the port of San Diego announced.
Harbor police responded right after 9 p.m. to the seafront near the southern border of Harbor Island concerning a truck report that accelerated south on Harbor Island Drive and ended up in the bay.
Harbor police arrived in the three minutes and found an unconscious but breathable woman who had been pulled by the fishermen, officials said.
“We were only fishing here off Harbor Island and we heard the accident and splashes of the car going in the water and immediately made a dead sprint to see what was going on,” one of the fishermen told Sideo TV.
Monroe said that by looking for the submerged vehicle, he removed his clothes and plunged into the water, finding the woman out of the vehicle.
“I caught it and headed for shore as quickly as possible,” he said.
Monroe’s friend also entered the water to help shoot the woman on the ground while paramedical paramedics arrived on the scene.
Just before 9:20 p.m., the Port police staff, the San Diego fire rescue department and San Diego rescuers plunged into the bay to find the collection and look for additional people.
An insensitive man and an insensitive woman were found trapped inside the pick-up and taken from the inside.
The three people were transported to hospital.
The woman found trapped inside the pick-up was declared dead just before 11:15 p.m.
The conditions of the woman drawn on the shore and the man found inside the van were unknown on Friday morning.
Sideo images show that the submerged black pick-up has been lifted by the stakeholders.
The cause of the accident is the subject of an investigation by the Harbor police.
