A cyclist has died in a crash involving a motorist in northwest Denver, police said.

The incident happened on Sheridan Boulevard and West 38th Avenue, police said on Twitter at 8:56 p.m. Friday. Shortly after, the police announced that the cyclist had died.
A Denver Police Department investigation is ongoing.
