The Thai authorities said they had arrested a Chinese executive in a company that built a bangkok skyscraper that collapsed in a major earthquake, dozens of deaths.
The Minister of Justice, Tawee Sodsong, told a press conference on Saturday that a Thai court had issued arrest mandates against four people, including three Thai nationals, at China Railway n ° 10 for breaking the law on foreign affairs.
The Ministry of the Special Survey, which is part of the Ministry of Justice, said on a statement on Saturday that one of the four was arrested – a Chinese “company representative” they named Zhang.
China Railway n ° 10 was part of a joint venture with an Italian-Thai company to build the state audit office tower before its collapse.
Zhang is listed as a shareholder of 49 percent of the company, while the three Thai citizens have a 51% participation in the company.
