According to migrant aid associations, it is the same group which regularly reconstitutes camps between the north-east of Paris and the neighboring municipalities of Seine-Saint-Denis. Thus, according to a volunteer from the collective Solidarité migrants Wilson, some of the people evacuated on June 22 were present among the 500 migrants evacuated on May 11 in Pantin. Installed for several months in a parking lot, they lived there in unsanitary conditions.
The association Utopia 56, which had set up a camp at the Place de la Bastille at the end of May in order to warn of the situation of young migrants on the street, estimated the number of people evacuated at 380. “Hardly arrived at the accommodation centers, some are already returned to the street and the police headquarters illegally expels those who have not been resolved,” she lamented.

“We are always in the same cycle”, estimated François Dagnaud, for whom the care ends “year in, year out” by taking place but without “never succeeding in ensuring that it does not go through the street”. According to the elected socialist, “the government and the European Union have not yet drawn the consequences of these situations of impasse”.
According to the European border agency Frontex, the number of irregular entries into the EU increased by 82% between January and May 2022, these calculations not taking into account the arrival of Ukrainian refugees.
