On Wednesday, a basin qualified as 45 potential jurors was obtained for the jury selection process in the SEAN “Diddy” Trafficking trial.
The last part of the jury selection is set for Friday when the court resumes at 9 a.m. he. Lawyers on each side will take turns carrying out the peremptory strikes on the jurors they wish to eliminate from the swimming pool to finally select and accommodate a panel of 12 and 6 alternates.
Prosecutors will have six strikes and the Combres defense team will have 10 until they sit 12 jurors. The two parties have three strikes for substitutes.
Combs was again present in the courtroom on Wednesday alongside his lawyers.
Earlier Wednesday, the games agreed to wait to select the panel on Friday, which means that the court will not be held on Thursday.
The two parties have agreed that it would be more effective to wait until Friday, because some qualified jurors may want to go back due to the time commitment that the trial will include. CNN previously pointed out that the trial should take several weeks.
Many potential jurors who qualified for the final swimming pool said they saw media coverage of allegations or had seen the surveillance images of the hotel lying around and kicked his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
Once finalized, the jury will be sworn in Monday before the opening declarations.
Following these opening declarations, the prosecutors said they were planning to briefly make two witnesses on Monday. They said their third witness should take most of the rest of the week.
