The 6-foot-3, 225-pound former professional baseball player has reportedly committed to play college football at Arkansas as a wide receiver, meaning he is guaranteed a roster spot.

Harrison, who was a four-star recruit in the 2014 class, will join the Razorbacks ahead of the 2024 season, according to 247Sports.

He committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers in 2014 after catching 60 passes for 1,007 yards and 13 touchdowns and adding 198 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns as a senior at Lee’s Summit (Missouri) West High.

Harrison received offers from schools such as Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan State, Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas, but embarked on an MLB career after the Milwaukee Brewers drafted him in the second round of the 2014 MLB Draft.

He signed a rookie contract with a $1.8 million bonus and spent six years in the minor leagues before finally making it to the majors in 2020 with the Miami Marlins.

Harrison hit .170 with one home run and six stolen bases in 32 games and played nine more games for the Marlins in 2021 before dropping back to Triple-A.

He bounced around the minor leagues and made his MLB debut in 2020.

In April 2022, he signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Angels and was promoted to the Majors in June.

He played in nine games before the Angels designated him for assignment and signed a minor league contract with Milwaukee in 2023.

Harrison last played for the Nashville Sounds, the Brewers’ Triple-A affiliate, before being released in September.

Now, Harrison returns to the sport where he first made a name for himself as the No. 52 wide receiver and No. 7 prospect in the state of Missouri in his 2014 class.

Images of him catching passes circulated after he committed to Arkansas.

The Razorbacks hope he hasn’t lost a step as they look to improve on their 4-8 2023 season that saw them finish last in the SEC West.
