A 12-year-old boy was shot in Fig / Oleander Park in Compton Friday afternoon, May 9.
The deputies of the Compton sheriff station responded to the North Oleander avenue and West Fig Street park concerning an assault with a deadly victim of weapons / gunshots at 3:55 p.m. Friday, the authorities announced.
They found the boy in the park and started first aid measures. The paramedical paramedics of the Compton fire service arrived and took him to the hospital, where he was then declared dead.
Witnesses described the suspect during the shooting like a man wearing all the black clothes – including a black ski mask – which was last seen north on Oleander Avenue and out of sight, deputies said.
Sheriff’s investigators did not determine the motive for the shooting.
