Real Madrid’s boss Carlo Ancelotti congratulated Barcelona to have won the Liga and said that the Hansi Flick team deserved the victory.
Barcelona sealed first place Thursday evening after beating Espanyol 2-0 thanks to the goals of Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez.
Ancelotti says that Barcelona was the best team but sounded a warning before the new campaign.
“It’s part of football, sometimes you can’t get the most out of everyone,” he told a press conference.
“Barça has done very well, and they deserve to be congratulated, because they were more consistent with La Liga and played a very beautiful football. They deserved to win this league. Next year will be another story.”
Real Madrid will be under a new direction for next season. Ancelotti should leave and take a position as director of the national team of Brazil, Xabi Alonso should replace him at the Bernabeu.
