Patrick Mahomes was inducted into Texas High School Football Hall of Fame on Saturday evening – before his wife, Brittany, helped him reveal a big announcement.
The triple MVP played for the Whitehouse High School in Texas well before being known as one of the best quarters of the NFL.
And while he was talking during a ceremony in Waco, Texas, Mahomes clearly indicated how important his high school days were for his career path.
“When you go around the league, all I boast is Texas High School football and what it means,” said Mahomes, via Krqe News.
“People talk about players who come out of different states, but they don’t know how much it means to be in Texas High School football and I think it’s a special place to be.”
MAHOMES – Who called football his last sport ” after spending much of his childhood playing baseball and basketball – admitted that he did not think that he would arrive at the pros.

His wife Brittany was on site to help him make a special announcement on Saturday
“My goal grew was to win a district championship in Whitehouse, Texas,” he said.
The 29-year-old quarterrier, also announced during his speech that he and Adidas take advantage of creating personalized jerseys for 15 different secondary schools across the country.
Of course, this list included his old -fashioned white house, and Brittany gave him one of the new jerseys as he was on stage.
Mahomes was one of the nine enthronements of this year’s class, which also included Robert Griffin III, recruit of the year 2013 of the NFL.
Griffin played at the Copperas Cove high school before playing collegially in Baylor.
Mahomes, on the other hand, also stayed in Texas at the college when he was playing for Texas Tech.
Since the overwhelming defeat of the Kansas City Super Bowl against the Eagles, Mahomes has benefited from a well -deserved leave.
Last weekend, he and Brittany were in Florida for the Miami Grand Prix, when he applauded the Alpine team of which he is a co-owner.
Mahomes was even seen to party with Tom Brady while he presented the legendary passer to his wife.
The star of the chiefs will be expected in the team’s facilities later this month for the OTAs, which start on May 27.
