Governor Gavin Newsom appointed a local prosecutor to become a judge of the San Diego Superior Court, his office announced on Wednesday.
Jihan Maloney is deputy district prosecutor at the San Diego County Prosecutor’s Office since 2011, said the Governor’s office.
She obtained her law faculty of California Western School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar in 2011, according to the State Bar. Her LinkedIn page indicates that she obtained her baccalaureate in business administration and management of the University of San Diego.
Maloney will take the judicial headquarters canceled by the retirement of judge David Gill. It is recorded without a party preference.
The judges of the Superior Court in California receive compensation of around $ 245,000 per year.
