Police investigates a woman’s death in an apartment in Montebello and a man found dead inside a van nearby on Tuesday evening.
The agents responded to the information reporting a shooting in West Mines Avenue block 800 and found a woman suffering from ball injury inside an apartments around 7:20 p.m., police officials announced.
The woman was taken to a neighboring hospital where she was declared dead, officials said. A resident said he had heard a cry before the gunshots, according to KNBC. Witnesses also told the police that they had seen a truck fleeing the region, according to KTLA.
Later, a man was found dead inside the truck of a self-inflicted ball wound not far from the place where the woman was found, Ktla reported. It is not known if the two incidents are connected.
Police investigate homicide. No other information has been published at the moment.
