May 4 – or the 4th, as fans say – has evolved over the years in Star Wars Day, an informal party celebrating the space epic and its surrounding frankness.
What is Star Wars day?
Star Wars Day was created by fans as a sneaky wink to one of the most popular slogans of the films, “may the force be with you.” Get it? Well, now the 4 can also be with you.
It was not an official holiday, but it became so well known that even former President Joe Biden scored it last year when Star Wars actor Mark Hamill fell by the White House one day in advance. This year, the Trump administration has marked the opportunity with a meme on the theme of Star Wars.
