Andrea Kimi Antonelli has become the youngest driver of all time to claim a pole F1 position in any race format on Friday when he burned on the track to make sure that he will start at the front of the grid at the Sprint event at the Miami Grand Prix.
The 18 -year -old produced a brilliant performance in Sprint qualifying for Pipir The two McLaren pilots in first place, finishing only 0.045 seconds ahead of the leader of the Oscar Piastri championship while Lando Norris took third place.
The teammate of Mercedes d’Antonelli, George Russell, qualified in fifth place, behind the duo McLaren and Max Verstappen de Red Bull in fourth.
The Italian is increasingly used to becoming the youngest driver of the F1 to reach various milestones – in April, he became the youngest driver to record the fastest tour of a Grand Prix and also to lead. These landmarks highlight its immense potential in sport.
“I feel above the moon. I didn’t expect it, but I felt good in the car,” he said Sky Sports diffuser.

“I haven’t seen it coming, to be honest. I felt that the tour was good, I was satisfied, how everything got together.
“Now, I’m going to enjoy this moment a little more, but at the same time, I’m going to try to focus tomorrow because it would be good to repeat us.”
After the end of Antonelli, he went directly to the Mercedes garage to find his father, Marco, and the two shared an embrace.
“He is like a rock for me because I can always count on him and it’s really nice to share this moment with him,” he said later.
He will have a golden opportunity to win his very first F1 race on Saturday in the Sprint event, before the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday.
