ATLANTA (AP) – The Falcons of Atlanta said on Sunday that the son of the defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich was responsible for a farce call launched at the choice of Cleveland Browns Shemer Sanders.
The Falcons have published a statement saying that Jax Ulbrich, 21, “reluctantly came across the contact phone number for Sheder Sanders next to an open iPad while visiting the house of his parents and wrote the number to make a farce call later.”
The Falcons said that Jeff Ulbrich, who had played the secondary for the 49ers from 2000 to 2009, was not aware of exposure to data or farce until after the fact.
Sanders, a quarter-Arrière off competition in Colorado, is the son of the Buffaloese coach and the renowned temple of professional football Deion Sanders, who began his career in the NFL with the Falcons and also played for the 49ers.
Sheder Sanders was perhaps the biggest story in the project because he had to wait for the fifth round on Saturday before being drafted by the Browns. He received a farce call on Friday evening, the second day of the draft, while waiting.
In the call, Jax Ulbrich identified himself as the director general of New Orleans Saints, Mickey Loomis and told Sanders that he had been drafted by the saints before ending the call.
“It didn’t really have any impact on me because it was like, ok. I don’t feed on negativity or I don’t feed on this kind of thing,” said Sanders on Saturday after being drafted by Cleveland. “… that’s what it is. I think, of course, it is childish, of course, I have the impression that it was a childish act, but everyone does childish things here and there. “
Falcons apologized to Sanders and his family and said they were facilitating apologies directly from Jax Ulbrich to the family.
“We carefully examine all the protocols and update if necessary to help prevent an incident like this from reproducing,” said Falcons.
The team’s declaration said: “Atlanta Falcons do not tolerate this behavior and send our sincere apologies to SheDer Sanders and his family.”
The Falcons said they were in contact with the NFL “and will continue to cooperate fully with all the surveys that we could receive from the NFL League office”.
Jeff Ulbrich celebrated the accent put by the Falcons on the defense in the draft of the NFL. The Falcons have selected two rushers on board, Walker milestone from Georgia and James Pearce Jr. from Tennessee, in the first round. Their first four recovery choices were defensive players.
Ulbrich was 3-9 as an acting coach of the New York Jets last season before being hired to return to Atlanta, where he previously worked as assistant.
